Typographic Maps

Man, it's hard to keep up a blog now that I have a real job.

A friend of mine recently sent me a link to Axis Maps' collection of typographic maps of major U.S. cities.  I really dig these kinds of maps, and the link reminded me of the first map of this type I'd seen.  It was on an invitation to a University of Wisconsin party at the annual meeting of the Association of American Geographers in Boston in 2008.  I thought it was extremely cool at the time, and still do.
