Geocaching weather is here

The weather has finally been nice enough to get out and do some geocaching, so I knocked off work early today and bagged three caches in a park near the house.  Short sleeves and no jacket - so sweet.

If you've never been geocaching before, check out Groundspeak's "Getting Started with Geocaching" page.  There's a short clip from the movie "Splinterheads," which I had never heard of until today.  Apparently it's about a dude who falls in love with a female con artist from a carnival after going geocaching with her.  Yeah, it sounds corny, but after watching the trailer (http://www.splinterheadsthemovie.com/), I'll give it a shot.  It's available on DVD and as a streaming video from Netflix.

If you're in the Baltimore area, the Maryland Science Center is hosting a GPS Adventure Maze exhibit until the 18th of April.  Read more about it here.

In case you'd like to try geocaching but don't have access to a GPS, you may be able to use your GPS-enabled phone.  Groundspeak sells a geocaching application for the iPhone, and Trimble offers an add-on called Geocache Navigator that works with a variety of phones from AT&T and Sprint, as well as Blackberry and Nokia phones on multiple carriers.
