A vision of students today

This afternoon I had the opportunity to attend a presentation by Dr. Michael Wesch, assistant professor of cultural anthropology at Kansas State University.  If you're an educator, you might be interested in some of his ideas for incorporating digital technology in the classroom.  Start by watching this eye-opening video produced by one his classes: "A Vision of Students Today."  Then check out Dr. Wesch's website, Digital Ethnography at Kansas State University.  In particular, visit the page entitled "Our Class on How We Run Our Class" for a description of how Dr. Wesch uses technology to change the traditional teaching model.  Finally, have a look at his intriguing World Simulation Project, which has some interesting geographic components to it.
